Production Technician


Job Summary

eMagin, a leader in OLED microdisplays and virtual imaging technologies has exciting opportunities for Production Technicians in our Fab & Packaging Operation.

Fab Technician full time – must be able to work 12 hour rotating night shift (6pm to 6am). Candidates must have prior clean room experience in a semiconductor manufacturing operation.

Packaging Operators – temporary leave replacement position Monday -Friday 7a – 3pm and 3pm to 11pm openings

eMagin integrates high-resolution OLED microdisplays, magnifying optics, and systems technologies to create a virtual image that appears comparable to that of a computer monitor or a large-screen television.


Perform production operations activities of semiconductor wafer products (e.g., devices, integrated circuits, and diodes). Perform manufacturing tasks associated with photolithography, thin film, etch, and diffusion. Monitor and evaluate production process and results. Involved in the set-up and calibration of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in monitoring, operating, and maintaining each step of microchip production including: creating wafers, cleaning wafers, imprinting, etching, and inspection.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment and preserve the integrity and circuitry of chips.
  • Monitor the semiconductor operation process to ensure quality and prevent potential failures.
  • Run tests on finished chips to guarantee proper operation.
  • Investigate technical malfunctions and determine if problem originates from the manufacturing process or is unique to the chip.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems, perform diagnostic analyses, and make equipment adjustments or repairs.*

Qualifications and Skills


  • High school diploma required; associate degree or equivalent certification desirable.
  • Prior experience in cleanroom and/or semi-conductor industry
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts for Fab cleanroom position
